Tega Cay
Located just minutes from both Charlotte and Rock Hill, Tega Cay is a beautiful peninsula surrounded by Lake Wylie that offers a lakeshore lifestyle with resort amenities. It features a 27-hole golf course, lighted tennis courts, interior parks, playgrounds and more.
Tega Cay is one of the hottest country club locations in the area and has a wide variety of membership packages to suit all needs. They also have a beautiful event pavilion for weddings, family reunions and special events.
The course is divided into three nines – Grande View, Carolina Pines and the Cove. The Grande View is a little more challenging than the Pines, but both are playable for every skill level.
Monroe Country Club
Located about 30 miles west of Charlotte, Monroe Country Club offers golfers a unique challenge. The course was designed by Donald Ross and Tom Jackson.
The front nine is typical of Ross with subtle elevation changes and a variety of challenging greens. The back nine was designed by Jackson and provides a more interesting and challenging test of golf.
Monroe Country Club is a public course that opened in 1936 and is the oldest public course in the area. It’s a challenging course that’s a good value for the price.
Warrior Golf Club
Warrior Golf Club is a well designed, top notch layout. It’s also a great value.
Designed by Stan Gentry, this four star rated course features five sets of tees, a 52 acre lake and 7 miles of concrete cart paths.
The club redid its greens in 2017 and removed 3,000 trees to maximize the sunlight and airflow. The new bermuda grass is a real beauty.
Eagle Chase
Nestled in the hills of northern Union County, Eagle Chase Country Club stands as one of the most recognized and respected golf courses in the Charlotte area. Featuring a unique design and picturesque surroundings, it offers both challenging play for all skill levels and a natural beauty that engulfs your senses.
This course, built in 1994, features drastic elevation changes on several holes, allowing players to enjoy mountain golfing experiences. The green complexes sit both down in valleys and atop hills, and many of the tee boxes offer views of the Uwharries in the distance.
Skybrook
Skybrook is one of Charlotte’s premier semi-private golf courses. Designed by John LaFoy, this course opened for play in 2000 and has a mountain course feel with large elevation changes tee to green.
The layout offers a variety of holes with short risk-reward par 4s and long, reachable par 5s. This course is a great choice for any skill level.
